The aim of this study is to evaluate the status of components of knowledge management and the difference of current situation and the desired situation in technical compose of Tehran University.To assess component of knowledge management, the research tools were made according to general model of Newman and its four dimensions (knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, knowledge implementation and knowledge storage) and similar questionnaires. After determining reliability and validity of these tools, they were performed among 118 educational experts of technical faculties of Tehran University.Obtained data were analyzed using univariate t- test and dependent t-test.Results shows that except faculties of chemical engineering, materials engineering and basic sciences, other faculties have good status of knowledge management.Moreover we studied the current situation and desired situation of each component in faculties and just in industrial engineering we didn’t observed significant gap between current and desired situation.Finally, solutions offered by educational experts were analyzed.
