The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems of finding proper Persian equivalents for Arabic higher education terminology. For this purpose, some Arabic higher education terms are compared with their Persian equivalents in a field study, keeping a critical mind on the difficulties of finding equivalents for these terms. In addition to classifying the Arabic terms, this study also discusses and reviews their semantic relations with Persian equivalents, and the pathology of making terms in the field of higher education with regards to the differences in cultures and systems of higher education.
