[English]

Objective: The main purpose of this research is to design an open university paradigm model based on the open innovation paradigm which was done by Grounded theory method.
Methods: The data collection tool was a structured and semi-structured interview, which was conducted with 10 experts and specialized researchers in this field, using the theoretical sampling method until the theoretical saturation stage. In this research, the paradigm model of open university innovation has been designed using Grounded theory method. Based on the interviews, 446 key points, 130 open codes, 19  central codes, and 6 selective codes were extracted based on systematic approach variables.
Results: Based on the findings of the research, the central category or the desired phenomenon is "academic open innovation". Causal conditions, contextual conditions, intervention factors, strategies and consequences of open university innovation have been identified and introduced.
Conclusion:  According to the findings of the research, the components related to causal conditions, contextual conditions, intervening factors, strategies and consequences have been identified and introduced for the use of universities in the direction of moving towards open innovation.
