Investigating the Resources and Constraints on Entrepreneurship Development in Shahed University: Faculty Members’ Point of View

Abstract

This study investigated the resources and constraints on entrepreneurship development in Shahed University in 3 layers i.e., internal, external and mixed. The statistical population was the total faculty members of Shahed University (279 persons) and with the use of random sampling, 150 were selected. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The results were: 1. According to the Friedman ranking test, internal resources and constraints have the major constraining role in entrepreneurship development in Shahed University. External and mixed resources
and constraints are in the second and third place. 2.There is not a significant difference between internal resources. According to the average ranks, the manager role is the most important constraint in entrepreneurship development in Shahed University. The roles of the Complexities of goals and human resources are in the second and third place, respectively. 3.There is not a significant difference between external resources. According to the average ranks, the most important of external entrepreneurship constraints is the research and scientific factor. Cultural, socio–political, economical and financial factors are among the next important ranks. 4.There is not a significant difference between mixed resources. According to the average ranks, the role of effort was the most important factor.
