Analyzing Challenges in the Development of Electronic Learning in Higher Education (Case Study: Semnan University)

Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to analyzing challenges in the development of electronic learning in higher education. Its implementation method Descriptive- Survey, statistical population was 290 Semnan University faculty member state. A total of 167 patients using the formula Krejcie and Morgan were taken as sample. To determine the sample stratified sampling method was used. The research instrument was a questionnaire that was used for the preparation of relevant research tools. Validity of the questionnaire using the Delphi method and the participation of 23 professors active in this field was obtained. And estimated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine reliability and its amount was 0/84. According to research findings, the most important obstacles to development of e-learning in higher education system from the perspective of faculty members, the low speed electronic communications and online at the University, disablement and obsolescence University of use of electronic systems in terms of usability, low levels of student mastery in English language, the lack of support from the higher education system managers to institutionalize e-learning, and insufficient hardware and software infrastructure of the university.
