Abstract

Abstract: This applied descriptive survey was an attempt to gauge the role of staff capability in knowledge sharing in the National Organization for Educational Measurement. Regarding the data collection tools, it was attempted to make use of Standard Questionnaire on Staff Capability (Damirchi et al., 2016) and Knowledge Sharing Questionnaire, Dixon, 2001). Validity of the questionnaires was confirmed in terms of content validity and their reliability was confirmed using Cronbach's Alpha method (Knowledge Sharing Questionnaire α = 0.89 and Standard Questionnaire on Staff Capability α = 0.87). The statistical population of this study included all staff of the National Organization for Educational Measurement (N=590). The sample size was determined as 233 staff using the Cochran’s Table. It should be noted that the sampling method was simple random sampling. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency and dispersion indices) and inferential statistics (structural equations and Friedman Test). Findings indicated that the individual, organizational and professional capability had a positive and significant impact on knowledge sharing. In addition, the results of Friedman Test indicated that the ranking of factors affecting the knowledge sharing at 95% confidence level from the first to third ranks were possessed by the organizational capability, organizational capability and professional capability, respectively.
