Effect of electronic and non-electronic training on academic creativity and progress of students in Payam-e Noor University

The aim of the present study is to investigate electronic and non-electronic training on academic creativity and progress of students in Payam-e Noor University. Considering test and control groups of performing pre and post tests, the research method was experimental. Statistical population includes all students of the second semester of non-electronic learning system(non-present)and control group includes all students of the second semester of non-electronic learning system(semi-present) in academic year 2007-2008 in Tehran Payam-e-Noor University. Statistical sample included348 individuals from which 174 electronic students and 174 non-electronic (semi-present) students were selected using random sampling method from three fields of Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Measuring tool was Abedi Innovation Questionnaire (1372) and calculation of
Average grades of final examination of students within the second semester of academic year 2007-2008.In order to analysis the data and in order to control the effect of records in pre-tests& post-tests of both groups, we used covariance and independent t test.
Results suggest that there is a significant difference between post-test of creativity scores of electronic and non-electronic students. Moreover, there is a significant difference between final grades and academic progress (average) of electronic and non-electronic students. (p< 0.05) F 0.05 shows significant difference between post test creativity scores of male and female students of electronic and non-electronic training in Payam-e Noor University.
