Investigating the Relationship Between Faculty Development and Knowledge Management in Shahid Beheshti University

Objective: Faculty development in modern universities is considered one of the basic pillars of the development of universities, considering the very rapid changes in the technological fields. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to know the Faculty development and knowledge management in Shahid Beheshti University and how these two variables are related.
Methods: This research was conducted by survey method. The statistical population of this study consists of 806 full-time faculty members of Shahid Beheshti University. The sample size was determined to be 125 people.
Results: Findings indicate that the average score of the two main variables of the research with 2.7 and 2.8 in the faculty development and knowledge management, respectively, is lower than the average of the scale (number 3) and is at an unfavorable level in terms of rank. The result of one-sample t-test showed that this result is also confirmed in the statistical community. The focal correlation coefficient test between the two variables is 71%, which confirms the intensity of the correlation between the two variables at a strong level.
Conclusion: As a result, both knowledge management and faculty development are in poor condition and require specific strategy and programs.
